Intertextuality shots.

For the first part of our thriller opening, we mainly took inspiration from the ballet thriller Black Swan, in order to truly make both thrillers look similar, we took some of our favorite shots from the Black Swan and intertextualised it with our own shots. Here are some examples:
 

The positioning in these pictures is similar, if not, exactly the same as those used in The Black Swan.













We tried to get the costume, hair and make-up as similar to the actual ballerina as possible, to make the dance scene look authentic and to make it clear where we got our inspiration.
We tried to make not only the position of the actress, but also the setting exactly the same as in Black Swan, for example the barre that was used and the brick walls in the background.
